Accessibility is an architectural discipline, not a decorative overlay widget.
Felnorias builds every page to comply strictly with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards. We refuse automated toolbar plugins in favor of clean semantic markup.
Audit Standard: WCAG 2.1 AA • Verified By: Irina Petrova • Last Conformance Review: October 27, 2026
Our templates conform to the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) WCAG 2.1 Level AA specifications across all screen widths.
At Felnorias, accessible design is treated as a foundational structural requirement rather than a cosmetic checklist item tacked onto client deliverables. Irina Petrova verifies every HTML document against strict validation tools and physical testing on modern screen readers (VoiceOver on macOS/iOS, NVDA on Windows, and TalkBack on Android).
We deliberately avoid third-party accessibility overlay widgets. Such automated scripts frequently obstruct assistive software, violate privacy regulations by logging user disabilities, and fail to repair fundamental structural defects in underlying code.
Every typography token is calculated in OKLCH space to guarantee minimum contrast ratios exceeding 7.0:1.
While WCAG 2.1 Level AA requires a 4.5:1 ratio for regular running copy and 3.0:1 for large display headlines, our Arctic Clean palette operates well above these regulatory floors:
| Color Token Name | Hex Code | Background Context | Measured Contrast Ratio | WCAG Conformance Tier |
|---|---|---|---|---|

Every interactive button, filter chip, form field, and dialog is operable using a standard hardware keyboard alone.
Our keyboard navigation architecture enforces strict behavioral patterns:
- Skip to main content: A visible, high-contrast bypass link appears on the first Tab stroke, allowing keyboard travelers to jump past the masthead directly to
#main-content. - Distinct visual focus: We never apply
outline: nonewithout a custom replacement. Every active element displays a high-contrast 2px solid teal outline (--accent) with a 2px offset on:focus-visible. - Predictable tab order: The DOM source order matches visual reading hierarchy exactly. We employ zero positive
tabindexattributes that could disrupt sequential navigation. - Generous touch targets: All interactive elements, including filter chips, navigation links, and form buttons, maintain a minimum physical touch target of 44 by 44 pixels.
Semantic landmarks and explicit ARIA descriptors guide visitors who navigate using screen readers.
Our markup adheres to HTML5 semantic standards with unambiguous information hierarchy:
- Landmarks: Each page features exactly one
<header>, one<main>, and one<footer>landmark, accompanied by distinct<nav>containers labeled witharia-label. - Single H1 heading: Every document carries exactly one
<h1>expressing a complete, verifiable statement regarding the business, followed by logical<h2>and<h3>tiers without skipped levels. - Descriptive imagery: Every photograph in our portfolio contains a contextual
altdescription authored to convey subject matter, materials, and lighting rather than generic agency keywords. Decorative icons carryaria-hidden="true". - Form labeling: Every input field is explicitly bound to a visible
<label>through matchingforandidattributes. Error states employaria-invalid="true"andaria-describedbyto announce validation issues.
Visitors with vestibular disorders or motion sensitivity receive an instant, non-animated reading experience.
Our global stylesheet includes an aggressive prefers-reduced-motion: reduce media block that automatically neutralizes CSS transitions and smooth scroll routines:
@media (prefers-reduced-motion: reduce) {
*, *::before, *::after {
animation-duration: 0.01ms !important;
animation-iteration-count: 1 !important;
transition-duration: 0.01ms !important;
scroll-behavior: auto !important;
}
}
When reduced motion is signaled by your operating system, GSAP Flip state transitions and pinning cross-fades immediately fall back to standard instant reflows, ensuring zero disorientation or involuntary motion sickness.
We conduct recurring manual audits whenever our project portfolio or interactive tools are updated.
Our internal accessibility protocol requires Irina Petrova to evaluate every new page release against six verification milestones before publishing code to the Austin web server:
- Automated axe-core and Lighthouse accessibility sweeps aiming for a 100/100 score.
- Manual keyboard-only traversal from page top to footer without touching a mouse or trackpad.
- Full-page 200% and 400% zoom testing to ensure text reflows cleanly without horizontal page scrollbars or clipped sentences.
- VoiceOver screen reader audio audit verifying that table headers, forms, and dynamic estimators announce numerical changes correctly.
- Windows High Contrast mode inspection ensuring hairline ledger rules and button boundaries remain distinct.
If you encounter any accessibility barrier on our website, we invite you to report it directly to our studio desk.
We treat accessibility inquiries with urgent priority. If you encounter difficulty reading typography, navigating our case studies, or submitting an inquiry via assistive hardware, please contact Irina Petrova directly:
